UPI Alert is a product of Martai (martai.in), a company focused on building AI-powered applications for digital wellness and productivity. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your financial data remains secure.
Our Core Promise
We never sell your data. Your transaction information is yours alone. We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Transactions are stored privately. All payment data is stored locally on your device with industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Your financial information never leaves your phone without your explicit consent.
Data is transferred securely. Any data transfer (such as optional cloud backup) uses end-to-end TLS 1.3 encryption. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Information We Collect
Payment Notifications
UPI Alert reads incoming UPI payment notifications to announce them via voice. This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Transaction History
Payment records are stored in an encrypted local database on your device. If you opt into cloud backup, this data is encrypted before transfer and stored in your personal encrypted storage.
Analytics Data (Pro Plan)
AI-powered income analytics are computed entirely on your device. Aggregated, anonymized usage metrics (such as app open count) may be collected to improve the app, but never your financial data.
Permissions We Request
Notification Access
Required to read UPI payment notifications and announce them. This is the core functionality of the app.
Audio / Speaker Access
Required to play voice alerts when a payment is received.
Internet (Optional)
Only required if you enable cloud backup or use the Pro plan's AI features. The app works fully offline.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your transaction data is stored locally and you have full control over it. You can delete your data at any time from the app settings. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently. If you've used cloud backup, you can request deletion of cloud data by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
UPI Alert does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs. We may use anonymized crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) to improve app stability. No financial data is ever shared with these services.
Children's Privacy
UPI Alert is designed for business merchants and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
